Commercial Policy Description

The Commercial membership does not apply to private motor vehicle use (see NZRA personal memberships). Commercial membership cover only applies to vehicles under 5000 kg tare weight, and used for commercial or business use.

When selecting a commercial membership please select the correct policy cover, vehicles up to 3500kg and vehicles from 3500kg to 5000kg tare weight.

NZRA applies a discounted rate based on the size of the fleet registered. For any costs over and above the policy limits including any parts (i.e. battery) or labour will be at your companies/drivers expense. (See note below if you wish to apply for an NZRA account)

NZRA Commercial vehicle membership cover gives you assurance and peace of mind motoring that your vehicles and your staff will never be stranded anywhere in New Zealand 365 days 24/7. A comprehensive 24 hour, 7-day assistance program NZ Roadside Assistance provides our customers access to:

  • Battery Jumpstart and Battery replacement service
  • Flat Tyre fitting a roadworthy spare wheel
  • Roadside breakdown Recovery Towing
  • Emergency Fuel delivery – Incorrectly Fuelled vehicle assistance

These policies cover a maximum of 6 events per annum; the maximum contribution for towing is to either the nearest repairer or the closest place of safety up to a maximum of $200 including gst for the initial tow.

Company accounts and additional services

You can manually enter as many vehicles as required or for large volumes use our CSV format data import table.

NZRA can set up a direct billing relationship with your business if you wish to charge back parts and labour as required for services outside of the roadside cover.

NZRA can provide a full repair management service where we manage the repairs of any vehicles that break down via an MTA approved repairer.

NZRA will coordinate an manage the repairs, up to an approved limit and on charge the repairs back to your company saving you money and time with itemised reporting.

We had checked the oil level and it was fine.
