You must select either of the two policy type options based on weights as below. If you have a mixed fleet of vehicle with some under and some over 3500kg, you will need to purchase these separately in two batches.

Commercial Policy Description
The Commercial membership does not apply to private motor vehicle use (see NZRA personal memberships). Commercial membership cover only applies to vehicles under 5000 kg gross vehicle weight, and used for commercial or business use.
NZRA Commercial Roadside
3500KG TO 5000KG — LESS THAN 5M
Includes 6 callouts per policy year.
Suitable for eligible commercial vehicles up to 5000kg GVM and less than 5 metres in overall length.
Vehicles exceeding 5000kg GVM are not eligible for NZRA Commercial Roadside Membership.
Battery Assistance
Attendance to jumpstart the covered vehicle. Replacement batteries may be arranged subject to availability and are at the member’s expense.
Vehicle Unlock Assistance
Attendance by a technician to attempt entry into the covered vehicle.
Flat Tyre Assistance
Assistance to fit the vehicle’s serviceable spare tyre. If no suitable spare is available, towing to the nearest repairer or place of safety may be offered, whichever is closest.
Fuel Assistance
Delivery of up to 5 litres of fuel, or towing to the nearest refuelling station or place of safety, at NZRA’s discretion, whichever is closest (Delivery is covered, fuel costs are at the expense of the driver)
Towing Assistance
If the vehicle experiences a mechanical or electrical breakdown and becomes immobilised, towing assistance may be provided to the nearest repairer or place of safety, whichever is closest.
EV Assistance
Towing of an electric vehicle to the nearest accessible charging station or place of safety, at NZRA’s discretion, whichever is closest.

NZRA Commercial Roadside

Company accounts and additional services

NZRA can set up a direct billing relationship with your business if you wish to charge back parts and labour as required for services outside of the roadside cover.
NZRA can provide a full repair management service where we manage the repairs of any vehicles that break down via an MTA approved repairer.
NZRA will coordinate an manage the repairs, up to an approved limit and on charge the repairs back to your company saving you money and time with itemised reporting.
